This position is responsible in the execution and strategic alignment of diverse business functions. Responsible for managing all administrative and operational activities for executive level leadership through strong alignment on initiatives that have a significant impact on the company’s operations and business objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with stakeholders in support of developing and implementing plans to achieve strategic goals and initiatives that have an impact on Business Operations. Supports the success of initiatives through communication and collaboration across the organization.
- Manages assigned calendar(s), meeting cadence, and meeting content to ensure alignment on priorities and understanding of key issues.
- Manages communications to ensure clear and continuous flow of information across all touchpoints and channels.
- Plans, develops, and reviews materials in preparation for Board Meetings, ensuring collaboration on timeliness and logistics for effective discussions.
- Assists and supports the Leadership Team in ensuring that daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual goals are met through analytics, strong communication and follow-up. Identifies process improvements and manages projects.
- Facilitates management of all aspects of Business Operations communications, conferences, Operations leadership meetings, and other events.
- Ensures initiatives and calendars are aligned, completed, and shared to appropriate parties.
- Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
EXPERIENCE:
- Experience working with executive-level leaders of a large, fast-paced organization
- 6+ years’ experience preferably in restaurant industry
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Power Point, and Visio, as applicable)
- Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills to ensure alignment across the company
- Effective analytical skills to review, grasp, and understand data and insights for the COO
- Strong organizational skills (calendars, travel, meetings, multi-tasking, email comms, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication style and skills
- Ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate decisions while motivating staff
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Advanced professional or theoretical knowledge and functional concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities
- Advanced understanding of departmental structure and policies with a basic understanding of the structure and policies of Whataburger Restaurants LLC
- Intermediate understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures
- Advanced ability to delegate projects and get work done through others
- Basic understanding of performance review process
- Ability to prepare and present ideas and recommendations to colleagues, manager, and direct reports with sufficient notice and preparation
