Position Summary
This position provides direct supervision and leadership for all warehouse associates and functions. The position will provide the primary point of contact for manufacturing to ensure part delivery and continuous improvement. The position will be responsible for ensuring consistent processes are used, updated and improved.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment and ensuring that all departmental employees are trained and adhere to safety policies and guidelines required by company policy.
- Supervises warehouse team members. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising and reviewing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Responsible for domestic and international receiving functions.
- Responsible for Kanban and sequence pick delivery to multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Responsible for Cross-dock operations
- Responsible for Re-pack operations
- Participates in planning process involving work in cross-functional teams.
- Tracks goals and strategic objectives that meet the business plan.
- Initiates and supports continuous improvement activities within the department.
- Reduces cost and non-value added activity using principles of Lean Manufacturing.
- Understand and comply with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements.
- Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Performs special projects as requested and related tasks as needed
Essential Skills and Experience
- College degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of similar work experience in a warehouse environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems
- Presentation skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office products and analysis of data utilizing Excel
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Working Knowledge of FTZ Operations
- Certification from APICS or CSCMP
- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain or equivalent

In addition, the team member must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.
