We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill a key position on our Fulfillment IT team. As a Business Operations Analyst to help embed data-driven approaches into our Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations verticals and apply analytical rigor to our decision-making process at our American Canyon, CA office.
The Business Operations Analyst must have a foundational toolkit for analysis: data aggregation, cleansing, scrubbing; KPI formulation and definition; data visualization & dashboarding.
The ideal candidate will take the analytics a step further by working to distill narratives from the data, to drive change in the business. They will also excel at influencing in a cross-functional environment. They will serve as an in-house consultant to Sales, Customer Success, Operations & Product and be able to translate needs into actionable analytics. Both on an ad-hoc basis and through long-term dashboards.
The day to day may range from conducting pricing/benchmarking analysis for core goods or conducting cost-benefit analysis of expanding our operational footprint. To quantifying service levels into Customer-facing dashboards. The analytics will cover every component of our business (cost, revenue, service), and will help inform WineDirect's value propositions.
What you'll be doing:
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs), tools, and intuitive dashboards to streamline business processes and enhance productivity.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis and craft presentations for high-stakes reviews.
- Build data-driven business cases to guide decision making throughout the organization.
- Contribute to the evolution of the technical vision and strategy of the Order Management System
- Other duties assigned.
Who you are:
Candidates must possess highly developed sense of empathy, with a focus on ensuring the best experience for our partners, clients, and the end-consumer.
- Experience: 3+ years of relevant analytics experience in Operations, Consulting, or Strategy function.
- Software Proficiency: Advanced in MS Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools like Sigma, Tableau.
- Ability to adapt in ambiguity and agile in responding to changing business needs.
- Have a strong sense of self-startership, and an ability to identify needs and deliver value to various stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in analytics-related field (e.g., Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Supply Chain) or equivalent experience
- Strong Business Analysis and organizational skills.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
