We are excited to offer a full-time hybrid position for experienced candidates with up to 2 years of relevant experience in Western New York within Freed Maxick’s thriving Business Intelligence Services (BI) team. The BI team works closely with internal and external client stakeholders to develop, deploy, and maintain reporting solutions and promote data driven culture. The team currently supports clients across a wide range of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, banking, education, agriculture, and professional services.
The ideal Business Intelligence Analyst candidate is eager to solve complex client problems through data while working in a fast-paced environment. To find long term success in this role, the candidate should have (or be prepared to develop) skills in client service, data analysis, data visualization, and project management. This position requires a high degree of collaboration and engagement with internal Freed Maxick team members and client stakeholders.
While professional experience is highly preferred, it is not a requirement for this position. About The Position
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work directly with senior members of the Business Intelligence Services team on a daily basis, supporting all aspects of service delivery including:
- Defining and documenting client / stakeholder reporting requirements and objectives
- Data discovery and validation in alignment with reporting requirements
- Assisting in the design and development of database models
- Dashboard development (including on-going maintenance of existing solutions)
- Tableau server management and administration
- Development of project plans for new deployments
- Development and delivery of client presentations and demos
- Creation of documentation for internal and external processes
What We Are Looking For
- Degree in business analytics, data science, business administration or similar
- Relevant coursework/work experience with BI/Data Analytics software required (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, Python, R, etc.)
- 2 years of professional experience
- Intermediate to advanced skills with the MS Office Suite – especially MS Excel and Power Point
- Ability to query large amounts of client data (i.e. via SQL) to identify insights and opportunities
- An independent and critical thinker
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to analyze, plan and execute to solve complex problems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task efficiently
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to travel to client locations when needed (estimated up to 25%)
- A desire to grow and develop their professional skills

The compensation for this role varies based on experience and falls within the range of $60,000 – $65,000 for applicants based in Western New York.
