The Role / Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst will partner with the Sales Strategy & Analytics team to scope, design and deliver financial and operating solutions, reports and analysis within Moody’s Analytics. The candidate will drive innovation in BI and Analytics throughout the global Sales Organization.
Functional Responsibilities
- Support the execution of data and analytics requests from the Sales organization facilitating user needs analysis, underlying data gathering, data manipulation and modelling including training the wider finance organization on key BI&A concepts.
- Build, develop, and maintain data models, dashboards and performance metrics that support key business decisions.
- Lead requirements and design sessions with internal teams; authoring functional requirements and technical design documents.
- Collaborate in the creation of Power BI / Tableau / Other production-ready analytical tools to support repeatable and reusable processes, ensuring quality and accuracy of deliverables.
- Support cross-functional projects within and between Sales and other Functions
Qualifications: style="color:black">
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics or other quantitative field
- 5+ years of business experience, preferably supporting Finance or Sales organizations
- Experience with CRM and BI modeling and reporting tools; ability to utilize systems functionality, extract data, and manipulate to support reporting and planning processes
- Proficiency in Power BI, Alteryx, including modelling skills and regression analysis
- Technical skills in SQL, PowerApps, PowerAutomate
- Python, MDX, or other scripting languages, a plus
- Able to pick up new software quickly and self-train utilizing all available training and internet resources
- Knowledge of Design thinking principles, demonstrable care for user experience and brand adherence.
- Solution-oriented, strategic thinker; balances understanding of business requests with delivery mechanisms
- Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple projects / activities at a given time
- Operates with a sense of urgency, ability to work under tight and sometimes competing priorities
- Interpersonal skills: be proactive, self-driven with strong collaboration skills, requiring minimal supervision; promotes a diverse and inclusive work environment; be open and welcoming to change; be a creative and strategic thinker, have an ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, prioritize and meet tight deadlines
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is [[$59,000]] to [[90,000]] , depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
