A subsidiary of Form Technologies, Dynacast manufactures small- to medium-sized precision die cast components by combining extensive engineering knowledge with its own specialized manufacturing technologies. The company provides cost effective solutions for its global customers by identifying opportunities to redesign or consolidate projects and assemblies through die casting. Dynacast operates 21 manufacturing facilities in 16 countries across the globe.
As a Business Development Specialist (BDS), you are responsible for lead generation and sales support for the Dynacast Sales Team, both globally and within North America. You will use initiative, internal drive, and sales acumen to generate brand interest, sales opportunities, and customer base prospects from customer lists, industry discovery, and individual research. The successful candidate will be a highly-driving, self-starter that demonstrates superb communication, organization, and time management skills.
This is an exempt position, with a base salary plus incentive compensation component. The position will be onsite at the Dynacast facility in Elgin, IL. There may be occasional travel to other plants.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Business lead generation to introduce the Dynacast Business Development Managers (BDMs) to prospective clients and new industries.
- Communicate technical details and specifics with design and engineering staff.
- Generate new Business Development prospects, maintain solid pipeline of sales leads and new account opportunities.
- Partner with the Dynacast BDMs and engineering staff on prospective leads, following up and taking the lead as necessary.
- Maintain database of prospective clients and opportunities in Sales Force and other tools
- Meet a quota of opportunity creation (qualified opportunities) as assigned.
- Perform detailed market research, data analysis and present various reports utilizing tools such as Excel, Power Point, Sales Force, PowerBI, ZoomInfo, LeadGenius, Linked in, and Google search
Education, Skills, and Attributes
- 2+ years of relevant customer service experience, with an emphasis on consistent and timely direct customer contact. Experience in a precision component manufacturing industry preferred.
- Two or Four year degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills.
- Positive and upbeat personality, ability to utilize a "TEAM" attitude.
- Self-starter; must be independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
