Role Purpose:
The Business Development Representative (BDR) has one of the most important roles in our company, acting as the first touch to our potential customers. As a Business Development Representative, you will develop valuable skills through rigorous practical training, direct interaction with customers and prospective clients as well as executing focused outbound campaigns.
We are looking for a Business Development Representative to act as the liaison between our Marketing and Sales teams. Your role will be to seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers with a specific focus on financial service organizations.
To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience developing leads from marketing campaigns. You will also be required to build lists of qualified financial service organizations and perform creative outbound campaigns to target accounts. You will use your communication skills to cultivate strong relationships with prospects, from first contact until you've qualified the deal. You will leverage a variety of tools and software to find key contacts and execute targeted campaigns. The SDR will then summarize the conversations previously held for the AE and coordinate the first introductory call to serve as pass off for lead conversation and opportunity creation.

Example Responsibilities:
- Providing inside sales support to our direct sales division by speaking directly and qualifying leads generated by marketing
- Building and managing a pipeline of leads through prospecting and qualifying marketing-generated leads
- Researching targeted accounts to generate potential business opportunities
- Supporting marketing campaigns by identifying new contacts within targeted accounts and markets
- Develop lists of key contacts at targeted financial service organizations
- Contact potential clients through cold calls, emails and social media
- Present Jumio's unique value prop to potential clients in succinct, compelling way
- Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
- Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Jumio Account Executives
- Coordinate with the sales team weekly
- Report to the VP of Growth Marketing on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans
Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as a Business Development Representative, Account Executive or similar role
- Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
- Strong experience selling to the Financial Services sector
- Track record of converting MQLs into SQLs (and ultimately opportunities)
- Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce) and Outreach
- Experience working and collaborating with Sales, Field Marketing, and Account Management teams
- Understanding of sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication (written and oral) skills
- Ability to deliver engaging presentations
- BSc degree in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field
- Knowledge of the ID verification, AML or KYC markets is a plus
Great to Have Experience and Qualifications:
- Proven experience targeting and generating leads in Financial Services
- Comfortable with sales cycles of between 3-9 months
- Experience with reseller / system integration channels in cyber security solutions / identity management solutions is advantageous
Example Objectives:
Pipeline growth, forecast accuracy and booked revenue are the type of clear and consistent metrics that define success in the Account Executive position. Conversion ratios throughout the pipeline are also important, along with the growth of networks and contacts within Salesforce.

Compensation
- The hiring range for this position is from $61,000 to $75,000. This is based on Jumio's US national salary band for the role. Geographical adjustment is applied for tier 1 locations and more may be available based on your skills and experience.
- This position also qualifies for uncapped sales commission.
