Our Stables is seeking a highly-motivated Grounds and Maintenance Manager with a strong attention to detail. Duties would range from electrical, plumbing, mechanical, irrigation, carpentry and general fix-it knowledge. Applicant must have a strong working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and must know how to work and operate large ranch machinery such as tractors (specifically on hill-like terrain and able to use the tractor to load and unload hay.) The Applicant must be organized and capable of keeping good maintenance records. Both part-time and full-time positions are available with retirement benefits once applicant achieves eligibility. Lodging on site is also offered as a potential part of the offer package for the right candidate. Pay will be based upon experience and the applicant must be able to pass a criminal background check and a drug test.
Responsibilities:
- Repair major and minor issues with equipment and buildings throughout stables • Complete maintenance and repair work orders, in a timely fashion • Order and replace broken parts or equipment • Maintain machinery on site • Ability to operate a large tractor to load and unload hay • Maintain a clean and a safe work space • Perform other duties, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance or other related fields • Familiarity with hand-held tools and equipment • Deadline and detail-oriented • Ability to handle physical workload • Equine experience a plus but not required
