Reports To

Executive Director of Business Development, but also works closely with PBS Manager of Customer Success and Metro/PBS/NORCOMM/MMS Client Liaisons.

 

Job Type

Full-time

 

Most of the time will be spent in the field, working remotely, and occasional visits to the Corporate Office.

 

Position Overview: The role of the Business Development Representative for our company is to represent the company in a professional, competent, and compliant manner. The Business Developement Representative will be tasked with establishing new account opportunities and maintaining those accounts for Paramedic Billing Services, Metro Paramedic Service, Superior Industrial Fire Service, NORCOMM Public Safety Communications and Municipal Management Services.  In addition, the Business Developement Representative will work closely with Executive Director of Business Development to be mentored for sales for Metro Paramedic Services for contract paramedic/firefighter services and Superior Industrial Fire Services for contracted fire brigade services. Our goal is to acquire and sell our ambulance billing services and contract paramedic/firefighter services to municipal fire departments and fire protection districts. In addition, our goal is to sell our fire brigade services to industrial facilities. 

 

Responsibilities

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Traveling to meet with prospective customers.
  • Analyzing budgets and sales reports and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Developing new marketing and branding strategies.
  • Conducting market research and attending industry events where networking is possible.
  • Preparing and submitting sales reports and delivering presentations if required.
  • Liaising with clients and answering all questions and complaints efficiently and professionally.
  • Keeping abreast of product developments and market trends. Servicing and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call or meet with potential customers to offer new services.
  • Develop sales leads & strategies and implement a plan to achieve sales objective.
  • Draft proposals for any new sales leads or in response to Request for Proposals or Request for Qualifications.
  • Uphold all compliance regulations.
  • Keep management informed by submitting sales and analysis reports and track daily activities.
  • Maintain new and current customer relationships by following up for feedback or offering any assistance with services.
  • Recommend changes in service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending company meeting and continuing education.
  • Stay updated on pricing, services within the market.
  • Meet and exceed established sales goals.
  • Travel required for this position.

Competencies:

  • Presentation and Sales skills: Can effectively put together an effective presentation and present the relevant material to a prospective customer or business.
  • Management: Effectively manages workflow and customer needs.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Email, CRM, CISCO WebEx Teams, Monday.com.
  • Customer Service: Demonstrates concern for meeting internal and external customer needs in a manner that provides satisfaction for the customer within the resources that can be made available.
  • Communication: Communicates well both verbally and in writing, creates accurate and punctual reports, delivers presentations, shares information and ideas with others, has good listening skills.

Work Environment: Work environment may include professional business offices, Fire Stations/Departments. Must exhibit professional appearance when conducting on site visits.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday - approximately 40 - 50 hours per week. Occasional work on weekends for special events such as trade/exhibition/conference shows. Occasional work at night when required to attend municipal or fire district Board of Trustee Meetings.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer service: 1 year minimum
  • Medical sales: 1 year minimum
Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience related to medical billing
  • Monday.com (preferred)
  • CISCO WebEx Team (preferred)
  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written
