Job description
Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Primary focus Business development with a given region: to increase revenue stream from current client accounts and proactively develop new accounts from leads generated by marketing activities.
· Develop new prospects and interact with existing customers primarily by phone to increase sales.
· Conduct sales presentations for clinical diagnostic services via the phone and over the internet.
· Follow-up on marketing activity leads in order to generate further customer interest and acquire new accounts.
· Participate in regular sales team meetings to review sales performance against objectives and goals.
· Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
· Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with physicians and decision makers.
· Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various products and services the company offers to their business issues.
· Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
· Adheres to all company policies, procedures, compliance, and business ethics codes.
· Willing to perform other work-related duties as assigned.
Job Specifications
· Four-year degree preferred within one for the following concentrations: Biology or Nutrition, preferred.
· 2+ years of outside sales/marketing/Business Development experience, preferably in the medical industry, preferred.
· Must have an outgoing and ambitious personality as well as goal oriented.
· Maintain contact with all clients in the market area to ensure high levels of Client Satisfaction.
· Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
· Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
· Strong emphasis on being a team player that thrives in a team environment and presents themselves in a polished professional manner.
· Ability to work in a changing team environment, as well as independently, with efficiency, accuracy, and professionalism.
· Strong organizational skills; must be able to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and changes in priorities with professional demeanor.
· Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with people at various levels within the organization. Possess effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate tactfully with vendors, customers, and others seeking information, and relay their requests and information to the proper personnel effectively.
· Ability to assume responsibility for personal decisions, actions, and results.
· Must be flexible and willing to work in areas and on problems that may not normally be part of the position but required for the efficient operation of the business. Must be resourceful in resolving problems.
This is not a remote position. You are required to work at the corporate office located in Houston, TX.
A relocation package is not available.
