At Houston Methodist, the Business Development Program Manager position is responsible for the coordination of strategic Business Development plans for the continued growth of HM operations driving volumes for assigned programs, service lines and sponsorships. Is accountable for performance for assigned areas. This client-facing role manages relationships with hospital leadership, physicians, and vendors and leads the development, implementation and measurement of assigned service line plans. The Program Manager works independently in managing the strategic physician recruitment process as service lines mature, develop and grow.
Requirements:

SERVICE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Independently leads development and implementation of Business Development plans, develops and manages recurring reports on Business Development performance. Serves as primary resource/subject matter expert to event support staff (as appropriate) and/or Business Development team in leading assigned projects (as appropriate).
- Supports the implementation of the strategic plan for physician recruitment and physician contracts in line with Medical Staff Development Plan.
- Proactively reviews and updates Business Development market share and presents changes.
QUALITY/SAFETY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Drives Business Development strategy for and evaluates the success of programs, service lines and/or assigned sponsorships.
- Contributes to development of effective business cases and presents to Business Development leadership, to influence and facilitate strategic change.
FINANCE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops, presents and gains approval of Business Development plans and budgets to Business Development management.
- Independently measures physician on staff results and provides recommendations for improvement. Proactively seeks opportunities to optimize spending and results across channels.
- Ensures timely submission of invoices; tracks and adheres to budgets for assigned projects.
GROWTH/INNOVATION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Independently optimizes service line strategy and initiatives to grow physician and patient volumes.
- Proactively problem solves when challenges present themselves.
- Leads conversations with hospital stakeholders about overall direction and implementing change within established Business Development or service line initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or related field
- Master's preferred
