What’s the job about:
We are seeking a proactive and motivated Business Development Manager who will take the lead in creating new value propositions and business plans while confidently communicating these to key stakeholders (both internally and externally.)
Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments, such as Technology & Innovation, Product Development, Product Management, and Marketing to secure profitable products and business models in the Groundwater market. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen key deliverables while contributing to the growth and success of Grundfos.
Your main responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will support the Business Development Director in defining and executing sustainable groundwater usage strategies and developing innovative offerings and solutions. You will be responsible for aligning and managing strategy, products, external communication, and marketing activities.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
• Evaluating and presenting business opportunities with a data-driven mindset.
• Identifying strategic partnerships and acquisition targets, creating, and implementing approved pilot programs to test new ideas and solutions, and unlocking new markets and applications.
• Engaging externally with key stakeholders such as end-users, water policymakers and influencers, engineering firms, and channel partners, with regular visits.
• Collaborating with local sales teams to meet shared business goals.
• Collecting and analyzing market intelligence, creating recommendations by attending exhibitions, and following competitors.
Your background:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager who ideally has a degree in engineering or business, with a focus on hydrology or geology. Candidates must have proven experience in the groundwater market or relevant application/business experience, and the ability to travel internationally. Ideally owning a powerful network within groundwater, particularly with water policymakers and influencers.
We imagine that you also may have:
• A background in developing and delivering complex or specialized projects and activities.
• Ability to understand business issues and solve them utilizing a strong toolbox.
• Quality stakeholder management skills.
• Positive, motivated, innovative, and able to deal with constraints and deadlines.
• Good communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal) (Fluent in written and spoken English.)
• Collaboration-oriented.
•Future thinking and commercial mindset.
