The Business Development Manager is responsible for increasing sales revenue with both existing and new clients. He/she should understand and be able to demonstrate a solution selling capability. Create and own O&M market development and demand. Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers. Strategic thinker, self- confident, driven, and the ability to manage multiple business projects
Responsibilities
- Manage existing accounts
- Assist in creating and developing O&M market with current and future clients
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Effectively provide voice of customer internally
- Overseeing customer account management, including negotiating contracts and agreements to maximize profit
- Assist in developing new clients
- Collaborate with sales team to identify and grow opportunities within territory
- Extend testing outreach
- Take on a project management role to ensure success
- Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare reports on account status
Preferred Qualifications
- B.S. or equivalent
- Renewable Market Experience Required
- Ability to travel 65-75%
- Currently active in the renewable, utility, and or industrial market for a minimum of 5 years
- Ability to communicate effectively with client executives and engineers
- Capable of managing client activity
- Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
- Possess project management skill set
- Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
- Forecast and track key account metrics
- Demonstrated ability to develop new clients
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restriction
