DTSI is seeking a talented and results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive growth in our Information Technology (IT) services and solutions division. The successful candidate will focus on expanding our presence in both government and commercial sectors by identifying new business opportunities and fostering relationships with key clients.
Responsibilities
- Market Analysis and Strategy:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in both government and commercial IT sectors.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the company's IT services and solutions offerings.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and nurture relationships with government agencies, prime contractors, and commercial clients.
- Understand clients' needs and tailor solutions to meet their specific requirements.
- New Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the government and commercial sectors.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop innovative IT solutions that address client challenges.
- Proposal Development:
- Lead the development of high-quality proposals and presentations for government and commercial clients.
- Work closely with technical teams to ensure proposed solutions align with client expectations.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with clients to achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
- Collaborate with legal and finance teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Pipeline Management:
- Manage and maintain a robust pipeline of potential business opportunities.
- Track and report on Business Development activities, providing regular updates to leadership.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical departments, to achieve Business Development goals.
- Provide guidance and support to team members involved in Business Development efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience in Business Development within the Information Technology services and solutions sector.
- Strong understanding of government and commercial procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth.
