About the Opportunity
Barrett's is seeking an energetic, outgoing Business Development professional to join our growing team. The Business Development and Marketing Coordinator is responsible for accelerating company growth through strategic engagement with professional trade specifiers such as interior designers, architects and custom home builders. The position is also responsible for overseeing all marketing initiatives and ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand message.
Responsibilities
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with trade specifiers, positioning Barrett's Technology Solutions as the preferred technology integration partner.
- Attend trade specifier networking events to heighten awareness of Barrett's Technology Solution's brand within target markets
- Utilize CRM software proficiently to manage interactions, track leads and ensure timely communication with trade specifiers
- Proactively identify and generate leads through diverse channels including cold calling
- Follow-up on leads and referrals provided by the sales team
- Oversee and manage all company marketing efforts including social media, SEO/SEM, company website and various other initiatives
- Propose and implement new sales and Marketing initiatives
- Coordinate and host industry education classes and lunch & learns for local trade specifiers, addressing their ongoing CEU credit needs.
- Coordinate and host trade partners at Barrett's Technology Solutions Design center, providing firsthand experience and knowledge about the latest trends and possibilities in residential technology.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in marketing, Business Development, sales or related field
- Outgoing demeanor with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional ability to cultivate and nurture relationships that contribute to business success
- Record of success in networking as an attendee and an organizer of industry events
- Self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule with occasional requirements to work evenings or early mornings to attend networking functions and events
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications or related field
- Proficiency with CRM software, specifically Salesforce/Salesforce Essentials preferred
- Familiarity with residential technology and trends relevant to the business is a plus

Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive base salary of 70k per year + commission on new client revenue, for total first year on target earnings of 80k. The position offers a full benefit package including:
