The Team
The Business Communication Specialist will support our company in executing and monitoring communications strategies across various departments, working with the groups to provide a unified and consistent message across all of the FHLBNY's growing communication channels (digital, web, print, email, 1Link, etc.) and to provide an enhanced member experience.
Position overview.
Responsible for creating, aligning, and coordinating member-facing content with the FHLBNY's brand and voice to provide a consistent member experience for marketing and other departments, supporting all communications efforts, including campaigns, email and website, product launches, outreach, strategic efforts, and other materials and ensuring members are not inundated with a variety of messages at all different times.
Primary job function
- Write a variety content to support communications, marketing efforts and an enhanced member experience for the FHLBNY, including email and website copy, product launches, strategic efforts and other marketing materials.
- Create, align, and coordinate content for marketing, sales, and all Bank member-facing departments to provide a consistent brand voice and member experience, ensuring style is consistent and member experience is paramount.
- Act as a communication liaison between marketing, sales, and other member-facing departments.
- Break down technical, program, IT/Systems Launches, and relevant financial information into digestible and easy-to-understand communications or slides.
- Conduct User Experience surveys in support of bankwide UI/UX initiatives.
- Maintain our bankwide communication calendar, participate in the 360 view of member communications using our CRM system.
- Work with Sales team to create timely content for our Financial Library and our Engage email library.
- Ensure content is accurate across all communication channels (digital, web, print, email, 1Link, etc.)
- Execute and monitor communications strategies across various departments and maintain proper timelines across the FHLBNY to provide a better member experience and across all channels of communication.
- Monitor analytics and create reports detailing the successes and failures of communications campaigns and strategies.
- Identify gaps in content and recommending new topics.
Skills & Experience
- 4 + years' experience in a communications or marketing role with a focus on writing and managing content for various channels.
- Proven knowledge of communications and marketing ethics and best practices for B2B Marketing.
- Candidates must have experience working in Banking and Finance.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or Financial Literacy/Writing. Additional concentration in User Experience (UX) or other related fields is a plus.
- Candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional writing and communication skills. You will be coordinating content effectively across departments within the Bank.
- Strong interpersonal skills and keen attention to detail are a must, as we are communicating with C-Level Executives.
- Superior time management, organizational skills, and ability to meet demanding deadlines.
- Knowledge of UI/UX (User Experience/User Interface) is highly preferred as is a focus on client experience through all communications and campaigns.
- An analytical mind and the ability to think critically to collect, research, organize, and curate information from various sources; able to develop data-driven reports that help inform the strategic direction of future content creation for members to enhance the member experience.
- Knowledge of email marketing software, marketing automation, and survey tools such as Oracle Eloqua/Oracle CX Sales. Experience using CRM's.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat and capable of managing review and editing processes within the applications.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Salary Range - $110,000 - $125,000
