Job Description:
IAT Insurance Group has multiple openings for a Business Analyst Trainee, in our Information Technology department, starting in June of 2024. These positions can be located in any IAT office location. Individuals who are already with IAT as a fully remote employee will also be considered.
This is a great early-career opportunity, or a great position for someone with several years of industry experience who wants to continue to learn and grow in the insurance industry. This position exposes talent to all angles of the P&C business and analytical skill sets and will prepare hires to apply these skills to solve business problems through process and technology.
Please note, IAT works on a hybrid schedule, working from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.
As a Business Analyst Trainee, you'll make an impact by:
- Evaluating business problems to determine the root cause and collaborate with others in IT to determine the best way to solve
- Making appropriate decisions based on evaluation of information
- Effectively communicating and collaborating with business customers to identify their technology needs
- Documenting options analysis, business requirements and functional requirements in accordance with our standards and best practices
- Building effective working relationships with other team members as well as internal company staff
- Acting with a sense of urgency on all inquiries/requests
- Providing unmatched customer service
- Performs other duties as assigned
We're looking for someone with:
- A four-year college degree or equivalent experience (we will consider May 2024 graduates)
- Equivalent experience is defined as 4 years of experience (in a similar or applicable analytical role)
- A curious personality that enjoys problem solving
- Someone who enjoys analytical thinking
- A self-starter able to proactively research and propose creative ideas
- A change champion that is comfortable with ambiguity and a dynamic-fast paced environment
- A team player that enjoys collaborating with others
- The desire and ability to travel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and a demonstrated track-record of leadership, professionalism, organization, and time management
- To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes
*Current IAT employees must have been in their role for at least six months and must have received, at a minimum, a "Meets Expectations" during their performance review to be eligible for the program.

Compensation:
Please note, that the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $57,000 - $70,000 This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit-sharing opportunities, and more. Actual salaries will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location related to this specific role.
