Responsibilities:
Duties of this position include gathering and analyzing requirements from stakeholders, evaluating existing systems, and proposing innovative IT solutions. Business analysts collaborate with development teams, ensuring that projects align with organizational objectives. They create detailed documentation, such as functional specifications and workflow diagrams, to guide the development process. Additionally, they conduct feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, and risk assessments. Adaptable and detail-oriented, IT Business Analysts facilitate effective communication between business units and IT departments, contributing to the successful implementation of technology solutions.
Role Overview:
The Information Technology Business Analyst (BA) will play a pivotal role in the analysis, design, and implementation of technology solutions to meet the business needs of the organization. The BA will collaborate closely with project managers, system analysts, and development teams to gather, document, and validate technical business requirements, processes, and workflows. Additionally, the BA will lead the development of non-functional technical specifications, serve as a subject matter expert during the development phase, and ensure that the implemented solutions meet the business requirements.

- Solicit, understand, and document customer's technical business requirements, processes, and workflows.
- Conduct interviews, workshops, and stakeholder meetings to elicit and clarify requirements.
- Develop written and visual depictions of requirements and process flows using tools such as use cases, user stories, flowcharts, and diagrams.
Solution Design and Validation:
- Lead the development and validation of non-functional technical specifications based on the gathered requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and development teams to determine the technical and operational feasibility of proposed solutions.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and lifecycle processes, such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) principles and practices.
- Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) are a plus.
