Business Analyst - MEDITECH – DESIGN AND BUILD READY BA – AMBULATORY

THE OPPORTUNITY

Total Systems Solutions Consulting Inc. https://totalsystems.ca is seeking a MEDITECH – DESIGN AND BUILD READY BA – AMBULATORY to work for our public sector client at the Fraser Health Authority (FHA) in the Province of British Columbia. You must be available 100% to work remote full-time 40 hours per week with availability Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm in the Pacific Time Zone.

The consultant is expected to start March 4, 2024 and the contract length is 1.5 years.

Project Context

Fraser Health is responsible for the delivery of hospital and community-based health services to over 1.8 million people in 20 diverse communities. Advance is Fraser Health’s largest multi-year transformational program which will impact over 30,000 staff and clinicians across 13 sites.

The Advance program seeks to improve the way we deliver care and the way patients experience care for better outcomes. The project focuses on re-imagining the clinical workflows for greater efficiencies and coordination across providers, enabled by the new Meditech Expanse platform. This transformation will increase automation and provide easier access to data to gain insights for improved patient care and in support of continuous quality improvements (CQI).

We are now in the optimization and sustainment phase for our initial three implementation sites, and are in flight with our design and build phases for our regional and Royal Columbian Hospital builds.

Service Required

The Advance program is seeking a READY BUSINESS ANALYST, AMBULATORY.

Recent design and build experience in MEDITECH© Expanse WPL (v2.2 preferred) is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage knowledge and expertise to build designed orders and order sets in MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals
• Participate in design of test cases, perform testing of the application by following test scripts and report bugs as necessary
• Advise the team members on technical aspects and impacts within MEDITECH Expanse, Advance Clinical that may design/influence design
• Function within greater project plan report progress, risks/issues to Project manager at defined cadence.
• Work with other Project teams (as required) to ensure system build is in alignment within great workflows
• Collaborate within groups to establish recommended design; support conversations with robust knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals
• Support governance conversations, presentations with technical knowledge of MEDITECH Expanse, Advanced Clinicals.
• Make recommendations/ advise on alternate solutioning options (where applicable)
• Participate in configuration and build activities within all HCIS rings.

Risk and Issues Management:

• Contributes to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the life cycle of the project;
• Ensure risks and issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner. Timely escalation using the escalation and governance process and structure;
• Maintains ongoing support for initiatives from project sponsors and user groups, keeps stakeholders informed of project status and ensures effective communication channels are in place;
• Makes recommendations regarding project scope as applicable; Assists with the maintenance of project artefacts, including project plan, risks and issues log, action items, deliverables log, decision log etc;
• Performs other duties as directed by the project manager’s direct line manager.

Knowledge Transition – Mandatory While Fraser Health is looking for providers in this phase, the overarching guiding principle and goals of the “Advance program” is to manage the implementation with internal FHA resources given the long-term nature of the project. With this in mind, a key expectation is the effective transition of knowledge throughout the course of the contract by the consulting firm to internal FHA resources.

Consultant Qualifications

Minimum 5 years recent experience in Healthcare with a particular focus on IT systems and operational support

• Minimum 10 years’ experience in managing projects to implement business systems
• Proponent shall possess strong English language oral and written communication skills
• Proponent shall have previous experience in optimizations relating to a clinical EHR implementation
• Proponent possesses experience or knowledge of Meditech Expanse, Jira
• It is an asset if the candidate possesses a PMP certification

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: Up to $80.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
