The Role
- Organizes applications for renewal and new placements
- Submits applications for renewal and new placements with insurance markets on behalf of clients
- Participate in and adhere to FINEX FINMAR protocols to support a strategic approach to broking
- Understand and explain FINEX coverage
- Follows marketing strategy in conjunction with clients, including underwriter meetings and presentations
- Review and evaluate information to support the placement of client risks in the market
- Organizes Evidence of Coverage Packages
- Ensure contract certainty for all placements including following WEM placement guidelines
- Build strong partnerships with a broad range of organizations and stakeholders in the company
- Participate in program peer reviews where applicable
- Contribute to FINEX related product and service innovations
- Support FINEX brokers and associate brokers
The Requirements
- 1-2 years’ experience preferred
- Insurance broker’s P&C and surplus lines license required within first 90 days of employment
- Demonstrates knowledge of core insurance principles
- Ability to conduct research and understand basic finance, and accounting
- Self-starter, requires minimal supervision
- Project management skills
- Skilled at client service
- Proven leaderships skills
- Good listener
- Demonstrates knowledge of Insurance structures
- Technology acumen – ability to utilize technology-based record management systems; basic MS Office skills and familiarity with other relevant online tools
- Travel not required
