Business Analyst (Finance & Sales Operations)

Job Description:
We are looking for a Business Analyst who will play a key role on the Hilo Global Advisors Finance & Sales Operations teams. The role will support strategic decision-making and operational performance, with a focus on driving financial planning, analysis, data integrity, business process management, management reporting and transformation initiatives within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial and CRM systems, financial analysis, business transformation initiatives and dashboard reporting, with proficiency in utilizing advanced analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL and have superior excel data modeling and visualization skills. The candidate must be a motivated individual with a growth mindset, who possesses excellent innovative, analytical, communication and process improvement skills with a demonstrated knowledge of key responsibilities. This role will collaborate across cross-functional teams including Finance & Accounting, Sales Operations and HGA OPCOs' client service teams.
Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support business planning, management reporting, data cleansing, CRM initiatives and transformation projects.
• Support HGA in the development and maintenance of the Hilco Data Warehouse and related Customer Portals.
• Utilize advanced analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Excel to gather, manipulate, and interpret financial data effectively.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to assess performance, identify trends, and forecast future financial outcomes.
• Generate insightful reports and dashboards to communicate key financial metrics to drive meaningful business decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, optimize financial performance, and support strategic initiatives.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and scenario modeling to evaluate potential business opportunities, risks, and challenges.
• Assist in the preparation of presentations for monthly business reviews with senior leadership team
• Manage data integrity and business processes across CRM and financial systems
• Support ERP and data transformation initiatives
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in financial analysis and reporting.

Skills + Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or related field; MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, data modeling, Sales Operations or similar roles. Experience in a corporate finance, Sales Operations, data science or FP&A role preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, including advanced functions and data manipulation techniques. Eg Macros, Power pivot, Dax.
• Strong knowledge of Power BI for data visualization and reporting required.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis required.
• Experience with Workday, Salesforce and Sugar CRM systems strongly preferred
• Solid understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and derive actionable insights.
• Expertise in data visualization tools and ability to build impactful visuals and dynamic dashboards from scratch.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to story-tell with numbers.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining data integrity and quality.
