Our client, a leading technology company providing award-winning software and digital modern secure solutions to Government entities is seeking several Business Analysts to build and implement a new voter registration solution. We are seeking Business Analysts that have had prior domain experience in the voter registration/election areas.
Gathers and analyzes business requirements from stakeholders, including functional and non-functional requirements.
Collaborates with key stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
Translates business requirements into clear and concise functional specifications, user stories, and use cases.
Works closely with software development teams to ensure a thorough understanding of the requirements and provide guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
Conducts business process analysis and identifies areas for process improvement and automation.
Facilitates meetings to elicit and document requirements.
Performs impact analysis and feasibility studies to assess the viability of proposed solutions.
Creates and maintains documentation, including requirements traceability matrix, business process models, along with workflow diagrams that will be used to implement new/improved processes.
Collaborates with QA teams to define and execute comprehensive test strategies and ensure high-quality software delivery.
Acts as a liaison between business stakeholders, development teams, and other relevant departments to facilitate effective communication and ensure project success.
Provides leadership and mentorship to Business Analysts, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing.
Works with Subject Matter Experts to understand the business goals, current business process, pain points, and future business needs and wants.
Elicitation methods may include but are not limited to individual or group interviews, surveys, observation, and brainstorming.
Develops user stories with acceptance criteria based on business requirements, adding them to the product backlog.
Develops rapport and trust with business owners and key stakeholders.
Meets with review teams (any combination of Subject Matter Experts, Developers, and Quality Assurance Testers, others as appropriate), to ensure the proposed solution meets the business requirement, is technologically feasible, is testable, and is accurate, complete, and consistent with other proposed and/or existing functionality.
Advises review teams on pros and cons for different solutions.
Gains consensus among the review teams for new/enhanced functionality/processes.
Supports staff creating training or other supporting documentation for new/enhanced functionality/processes.
Supports fellow team members as required.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
At least eight (8) years of experience as a Lead Business Analyst.
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related scientific or technical discipline three (3) years of equivalent experience in a related field.
Significant experience with the following:
Gathering and documenting business requirements
Writing detailed functional requirements documentation
Working directly with stakeholders to determine improved business solutions.
Creating workflow diagrams or process mapping
Systems development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
Agile methodologies
Web application architecture and data structures
Mentoring and leading other Business Analysts
Ability to lead and/or participate in the following:
User Acceptance Testing
End user training sessions
Creation of end user documentation
Critical thinking, problem solving skills, and sound judgment.
Understanding of technology and current trends what, why, when, and how
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation skills or ability to engage audiences of various organizational levels.
Understanding of leading practices in business analysis
Track record of delivering timely and accurate work product in a fast-paced environment
Be productive independently and remotely as well as in a group setting.
Quickly learn new business concepts and processes
Adapts quickly to change in a fast-paced environment.
