Commercial Lending Business and Data Analyst– Lowell, MA

What You’ll Do:
POSITION SUMMARY: The Commercial Lending Business and Data Analyst II is expected to understand the Commercial Lending business data and processes. This person collaborates with business and technical resources to determine business information and technology needs and assists the department in the analysis of new, changed or updated technology. Working with the department, this individual may be asked to generate and validate internal data reports required to evaluate current data details and use cases, extract data from external bank systems and incorporate banking data using data module tools to produce and validate combined data report for senior management, present report analysis to senior management, write a business case, prepare a business requirements document, write and participate in the execution of an end-user acceptance test plan, write procedure documents, assist with department technical/process training, perform deep dive data analysis, write communications and prepare change control documentation. The Commercial Lending Business and Data Analyst II can be a resource to help administer and support department level applications and provide the first level of support for the departments applications and interns. This individual may be called upon to support a project manager for projects undertaken at the department level.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides data analysis of business data from internal and external data sources
- Provides support of new technology using combined/merged data (example Docusign delivery using merged data and documents)
- Translate and present statistical data metrics to department users to enable better business process decisioning
- Prepares and participates in execution of data mapping for integrations between internal and external systems
- Coordinate and support internal department projects with team of interns
- Support application system configuration and administration
- Provides detailed documentation of department business processes including developing procedures and process workflows
- Looks for opportunities to leverage technology for process improvements and presents improvement recommendations
- Escalates and tracks department technology issues for resolution
- Interprets and documents department business requirements and works with vendors and/or Information Services to apply application functionality
- Maintains an awareness of patches/new releases and reviews documentation to determine if new functionality will impact/assist the department area.
- Prepares, maintains and performs testing and validation for application patches and releases relative to the department’s technology
- Provides first level technical support for business area.
- Prepares and participates in execution of system integration test plans.
- Develop deep understanding of multiple cross departmental applications serving the needs of Commercial Lending – this includes current systems and new integrations.
- Prepares and participates in execution of end user test plans.
- Prepares and presents change control requests according to the Bank’s change control standards
- Researches and assists in the preparation of business cases for new/replacement services/technology at the department level.
- Coordinate User access reports for various Commercial Lending application
- Provides first level of support for user access and reporting to Risk
This position is Hybrid, Remote, or Onsite. Candidates from MA, NH, and ME only.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A./ B.S.) from a four-year college or university; and
- Two to Seven years related experience and/or training; or
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
