This role is full-time (40 hours per week), Shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Who you are:
As the Breast Call Center Representative and valued member of our team you are someone who can effectively communicate with patients and FRC staff, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate empathy.
What you will do:
- Under the direction of the designated Breast Center Manager, and in a team environment, initiates and answers calls for Mammography Screening Add-views scheduling and Negative Breast Pathology results. Responsible for compassionate and efficient communication of results and care process, with patients, referring physicians, FRC staff and radiologists.
- Initiate and answer calls for Mammography Screening Add-views scheduling and Negative Breast Pathology results utilizing RIS/MI worklists.
- Ensure optimal customer service to all patients, peers, etc., by maintaining a pleasant tone of voice in all situations, answering the phone as quickly as possible, answering all questions, portraying empathy at all times and by returning phone calls as quickly as possible.
- Accurately perform worklist duties to meet daily productivity standards.
- Able to work well with high call volume.
- Develop relationships with health care providers to reduce barriers for patient care.
- Compliance with all federal and state laws to include HIPAA.
What you bring:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have 1 year experience in radiology.
- Electronic health record (EHR)/RIS experience specifically with using MedInformatix (MI)
- Ability to collaborate with physicians, staff and external organizations.
- Strong communication skills with diverse populations
- Solid relationship-building and people skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent coordination skills, including multitasking and setting priorities on work assignments
- Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft email.
- Must be able to walk, stand and sit throughout the day for extended periods of time.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English
- Strong phone contact handling skills and manners
- Ability to apply knowledge of office procedures and conduct tasks accordingly
- Must be able to remain professional and composed during all communications.
