Position Summary: Maintenance Supervisor
Responsible for overseeing the physical assets, general maintenance repairs, apartment make-readies, preventive maintenance and construction or renovation projects for the residential apartment community.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Maintenance Supervisor
- Maintenance/monitoring of major systems such as: heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, fire prevention, lighting and electrical systems
- Monitor the flow of work requisitions from receipt to completion
- Supervise Maintenance staff
- Conduct Quality Control Inspections in all areas of the facility, document findings and expedite the appropriate work requisitions.
- Apartment turnovers/make readies
- Determine acceptable levels of inventory for all supplies, tools and equipment and maintain/monitor the same
- Required to use a variety of hand and power tools and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Performs such work as basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry repairs
- Expedite all requests for purchases through research on item specification, pricing, availability, and vendor’s selections. Maintains strict adherence to purchase order policy and obtain appropriated approvals prior to ordering and/or purchasing item(s)
- Assumes responsibility of weekend, on-call beeper coverage according to scheduled rotation
- Must be completely familiar with the operation of fire safety systems and participate in situations of drills and actual disasters
- Maintain positive relations and assistance with vendors through purchasing, problem solving, etc
- Assist the Housing Manager in the identification, classification and scheduling for a computerized preventative maintenance program
- Assist the Housing Manager in other duties as assigned.
- Works collaboratively with the Housing Manager to ensure apartment units are re-occupied in a timely manner
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Detect faculty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to appropriate supervisor
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
- Works collaboratively with the Housing Manager to ensure that apartments inspections are completed regularly and in accordance with requirements, and that follow up actions are scheduled and completed timely
Qualifications: Maintenance Supervisor
Requires a high school diploma/GED with 2 years related experience. Associate’s degree (A.A) in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance a plus. Must have basic plumbing, electrical and carpentry skills. Ability to work with hands in a variety of mechanical tasks. Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
Preferred: Maintenance Supervisor
- Residential Maintenance experience
- working with the elderly
- Preferred Bilingual (ENG/SPA)
Good interpersonal skills, compassionate, outgoing and enjoy working with elders.

Pay: $26.00 - $33.00 per hour
