Job Description
The Brand Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategies and tactics that deliver the Net Sales, EBITDA, and Market Share objectives for the business. The role is focused on short- and long-term demand creation, innovation, and brand equity. This is a highly collaborative role, working across levels and functions to deliver business objectives. This position reports to the VP, Marketing & Innovation and will be hybrid based out of our Headquarters in Saddle Brook, NJ.
Essential Duties & Core Responsibilities:Develops and executes marketing strategy to help achieve brand objectives for market share, net sales, and EBITDA.
Supports team in key communication programs, ensuring consistent expression of brand equity in all aspects of marketing communications and new products.
Proactively leverages expertise and knowledge of (category, shopper, consumer) insights and potential outcomes into brand plans.
Leads PR for brand, managing external agency to execute holistic programming including earned & paid tactics.Leads execution of various innovation programs & projects to drive future growth of the business.
Successfully changes or sharpens the direction of projects, innovation, and enablers based on research & insights.
Key member of Stage Gate process, ensuring successful product launches in market, including managing execution & supporting Sales team with sell-in.
In collaboration with Sales, leads shopper marketing to drive awareness and trial of new items and new distribution of existing items in key channels and customers.
Leads portfolio analytics & behavioral insights for marketing team, focusing on ROI-driving tactics and proposing focus areas or changes based on learnings. This includes pricing, new item performance, competitive new entrants.
Manage 1 direct report.
Qualifications:Bachelors degree required.Minimum 5 years of product/brand marketing experience within CPG, some food/beverage experience preferred.
Outstanding leadership profile and strong communications skills to champion both strategic goals and delivery of short-term financial goals.
Outstanding analytical skills, demonstrating an ability to recommend and implement business opportunities based on synthesizing data.
Skills & Proficiencies:Self starter who takes the initiative. Strong results orientation required.
Adept multi-tasker who can manage multiple projects at once, including strategic and executional.
Proficient at establishing relationships with cross-functional peers.
Flexibility, ability to work under tight timelines.
Strong attention to detail.
