Brake Press Operator

Job Responsibilites:

• Performs the necessary operations from start to finish that are required to fabricate Bourdon tubes.
• Sets up, adjusts and operates various fabricating machines.
• Performs fabrication and finish welding on production parts in accordance with welding specifications requiring knowledge of methods and techniques.
• Works from drawings, templates, operation sheets, job sheets, blueprints, etc.
• Positions components in jigs or fixtures, clamps parts in the correct position and welds components according to the specifications.
• Brazes dissimilar metals, heat-treats and mills parts in accordance with specifications.
• Performs specialized welding of a diversified nature requiring knowledge of welding metallurgy and welding technology. Works under general supervision.
• Operate various machines, including saw, punch press, Brake Press, read blueprints, work on getting the bill of materials filled, manufacture on sheet metal, structures and piping, providing the necessary items to start the building process.
• Moving parts around to a location determined on the work order routing, communicating with the rest of the team to make sure all necessary steps are taking care of and always be attending the needs depending on the demand as instructed by the supervisor.
