We are looking for an accountant to join our team! The accountant will be responsible include keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful accountant should be familiar with basic accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful accountant will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. We are looking for someone who is interested in learning new aspects of our business and potentially could be promoted from within.
You will
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Process and post financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, expense reports, and journal entries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Generate regular financial reports and provide meaningful insights to management for decision-making purposes.
- Monitor accounts payable functions, including verifying vendor invoices, processing payments, and resolving any payment discrepancies.
- Monitor accounts receivable, track customer payments, and manage the collection process to ensure timely and accurate payment.
- Assist in the development and preparation of the company's annual budget and periodic financial forecasts.
- Collaborate with department managers to gather budget inputs, review expenditures, and analyze budget variances.
- Monitor budget performance, identify areas of concern or improvement, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field or 5 years of direct accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial modeling.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
