Fast growing company is seeking a Bookkeeper / Office Managerto join our team! We primarily engage in government contracting to include construction and professional services. Compensation based on experience. We will consider part-time applicants.
This is an IN OFFICE POSITION in Wading River, NY.
Candidate will be responsible for preparing and examining financial records including the following:
Responsibilities:
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Execute invoicing and payables
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Execute standard payroll operations and certified payroll reports
- Marketing and follow-ups
- Expertly manage Quickbooks Plus (proficiency test will be administered)
- Time keeping / reporting
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting, finance, or other related fields
- Fundamental knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Thrives in fast-paced, demanding environment
