UFCW Local 1889 Union, a local Employer residing in Butte, MT is seeking the right person to perform various administrative, research, and financial duties.

The prerequisites are: Having previous work experience with accounts receivables and payables, having strong computer literacy using Microsoft software such as Outlook, Excel, Word, and Mail Merge, along with having a working knowledge of QuickBooks PRO software. This person will maintain accurate financial files, data files, records of clients, activities, prepare clear and concise explanations of company rules and regulations, compose correspondence concerning billing and delinquent accounts. Excellent customer service skills are required.

The applicant at a minimum must be a High School graduate / equivalent. An applicant with additional education in "Accounting" will receive preferential status in the interview and potential hiring process.

The successful candidate will be a self–starter and a team player. In addition, they must possess the following: strong motivation skills, honesty, have excellent memory recollection, use of good grammar, and have multi-tasking abilities with interruptions while completing all tasks timely. Must be able to lift up to 30-35 pounds occasionally. Hours of work are 40 hours weekly Monday – Friday. The successful candidate must pass a drug/alcohol and criminal background test.

Initial hourly wage is $17.00-$20.00 depending on experience and qualifications. Having acquired an associate degree or a greater level of education will be compensated with a higher initial wage offer. Possessing a good working knowledge of the "QuickBooks" financial software is required and the initial wage offering will represent such.

Appropriate assessment testing for the above-listed work experiences is a prerequisite for applying. For the successful candidate from out of the area, a moving allowance will be considered.

Education: Associate (Preferred)

Experience: Bookkeeping / Accounting using QuickBooks Software: Minimum of 5 years (Required)
