The Bookkeeper is responsible for tracking clients’ revenue, expenses, and taxes, as well as producing financial reports in QuickBooks Online.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Onboarding new clients from QuickBooks Desktop or other software to QuickBooks Online.
- Process invoices, reconcile accounts, perform payroll functions, and maintain the general ledger for multiple clients
- Prepare accounting records by compiling account information
- Post financial transactions to accounts and prepare financial statements
- Maintains physical and electronic records, documentation, and files
- Composes and/or types correspondence, reports, and related materials
- Gain cross training and proficiency in other duties to assist staff with clients
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education and Experience
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks – Proficient
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in accounting or business preferred
- Strong working knowledge of accounting principles,
- At least five years of QuickBooks experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
