Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for the company
- Prepare and process journal entries, including debits and credits
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis
- Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing and collections
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Generate financial reports and statements as needed
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Utilize accounting software such as Xero and Quicken to perform daily tasks
- Perform general clerical duties, such as data entry and filing
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in 10-key typing and data entry
- Familiarity with accounting software, such as Xero and Quicken
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field preferred, but not required
