Bookkeeper

Primary Responsibilities / Duties:

• All Accounts Receivable duties including AR reporting, invoice prep, and collections
• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
• Manage Accounts payable

Book receipts and prepare deposits
Pay vendors as they come due

• Maintain vendors, contractors, and related insurance requirements
• Prepare payroll sheets, process payroll, Prepare year end 1099's
• Conduct job costing audits
• Reconcile and review credit card coding and statements
• Reconcile and review bank statements
• Prepare and book job cost allocations monthly
• Submit sales tax returns. Must have an understanding of Sales & use tax (accrual)
• Be flexible and adaptable in managing multiple assignments
• Provide management and financial accounting support for the organization which includes taking responsibility for the entries on the general ledger including reconciliations and completing detailed reviews of the profit and loss account on the company accounting system.
• Managing the company’s financial affairs and general bookkeeping.
• Daily monitoring and management of company bank accounts and Credit Cards.
• Effective management of a projects budget and analysis of costs for that project

Providing accurate, understandable, timely information that supports your management decisions, including analysis and recommendations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Degree in Accounting, Financing, or equivalent accounting experience (minimum of three years)
• Construction or cost accounting background required Proficiency in MS Office with Excel and familiarity with Word, Outlook, and other MS Office applications
• Must be well versed in QuickBooks
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy is a must
• Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
• Great organizational skills, problem solver, innovative and adaptive
• Ability to act, be proactive and operate independently with minimal daily direction
• Team player with great interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
