Part-time Bookkeeper. We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized professional to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in managing the finances of our business, including processing account receivables and payables and reconciling bank and credit card statements. In this position, you will collaborate and communicate with employees, vendors, and customers to ensure the accuracy of financial transactions. This job will only be 2 days a week from the times of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Must have previous bookkeeping/accounting and payroll experience. QuickBooks experience required.
Duties include:
- Small business accounting including financial statement preparation
- Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
- Payroll calculation and quarterly payroll report filing including year-end reports and W-2s
- Various office administrative tasks
- Record bank deposits
- Manage employee credit card receipts
- Ensure accurate vendor payment information
- Record and process vendor payments as needed
- Enter customer invoices and track receivables
- Obtain tax documents from new vendors for 1099 processing
- Ensure accurate tax data for timely filings and compliance
- Candidate must be an organized self-starter who is detail-oriented and can work independently
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
- Minimum of three years of experience working in accounts payable and receivable, and general ledger
- Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
- Extensive experience with data entry and record-keeping
- Understanding of business and income tax worksheets and computations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe Professional required
- Technical savviness required to be able to navigate multiple state tax platforms, vendor web portals, and import/export data
- Experience in services related to payroll, benefits, and cloud computing is a plus
