Under the direction and supervision of Management, the Bookkeeper is responsible for transaction management and account reconciliations. This position reports into the Controller.
Responsibilities
- Process high-volume revenue transactions.
- Process credit card transactions and reconcile statements.
- Prepare bank reconciliations.
- Prepare IOLTA/Escrow account reconciliations.
- Record journal entries and prepare account reconciliations.
- Balance intercompany accounts for multiple entities.
- Basic understanding of accounting cycles-revenues, expenses, payroll, and cash controls.
- Associates degree in accounting (or equivalent).
- 2 years of progressive bookkeeping experience.
- Specific experience with high-volume transactional processing with demonstrated success in promoting data integrity, contract compliance, and the stream-lined automation of business processes.
- Demonstrated expert proficiency with QuickBooks or comparable accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, including the manipulation of large data files. Must be able to create/utilize formulas, pivot tables and VLOOKUP's.
- Personal attributes include excellent organization, compliance, problem-solving and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the demonstrated ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
