Boat Dock Repair
Educating customers on all of MSI’s products and services and what makes us the leading marine services provider in the market
Using effective demonstrations and presentations to highlight the key features and benefits of our products and services, enabling customers to make a well-informed decision
Consult with each customer on their project to ensure we deliver on their needs and vision for their Boat Dock
Provide customers with quotes and negotiate sales prices that reflect the value of our products, services, and our brand
Develop project plans for all projects greater than $10,000 including project scope, key risks, labor budgets, project timeline and stages of completion
Keep time logs and tight project controls over each project and actively manage to the project plan
Manage and coordinate assigned Boat Dock repair crews to ensure all projects and services are delivered to the highest standards
Over communicate and update each customer weekly on the status of their project and timelines to completion
Close out all projects greater than $10,000 with the field team on site to ensure the project has been completed to scope and to quality expectations
Diligently complete all required paperwork as part of the project and deliver to the accounting department within 48 hours of project completion for invoicing
Develop a broad customer pipeline through a variety of external marketing activities such as boat shows, local events, and other external marketing efforts
Establish, develop, and maintain deep positive business relationships with customers, vendors, team members and the lake community
Required to work at all MSI attended Boat Shows and other promotional events every year
Other responsibilities as may be required from time to time
Commercial Sales
Work with the Commercial Sales Manager to evaluate all commercial projects
Work with Commercial Sales Manager to prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial marine projects
Prepare bid proposals and negotiate contracts with clients and subcontractors
Collaborate with contractors, material suppliers, engineers, equipment operators and subcontractors to gather all necessary cost information as part of the bid process
Develop project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the scope of work and materials required to execute on each project
Act as site supervisor for out-of-town projects to ensure the field teams are adhering to the project plan and the project is being completed to scope, MSI quality and within budget
Confer with project staff to outline work plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority
Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide cost control recommendations
Completing change orders and ensure all change orders have been agreed and dually executed prior to work being completed
Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry standards to ensure accurate pricing

Experience
Degree in construction management or similar and 5 years of experience in marine project estimating and project management
Bilingual English/Spanish preferable.
Proven track record in product sales and services
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Experienced problem solver, with expertise in identifying, managing, and resolving marine construction challenges in remote locations
Salary & Commission
Commensurate with experience
