About the role:
As an RCM- EDI, Verification, Quality Supervisor, you will drive innovation and continuous improvement using your talents to transform patient claim outcomes. You will lead a team of experienced Revenue Cycle Specialists, ensuring they are appropriately trained and meeting quality and performance expectations. Partnering with your team, you will create solutions for billing challenges and work to enhance quality, compliance, and appropriate billing of services for patients.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Supervise, lead, coach and provide work direction to a team of Revenue Cycle billing specialists including performance management, new hire on-boarding and cross-training
  • Run day-to-day operations of the team, owning scheduling, and ensuring all workflows are appropriately staffed
  • Work as part of a core team with Authorizations, Accounts Receivable, Clinical, Medical Safety, and Customer Support to enhance the team and processes performed
  • Drive innovation and change by communicating key business initiatives, promoting employee engagement, and specifically acting as a lean deployment leader. Challenge the status quo
  • Meet quality and accuracy objectives by ensuring compliance to quality systems, supporting continued education and clinical education initiatives, and coaching and mentoring team members
  • Develop and achieve compliant billing plans, and proactively identify and resolve issues
  • Develop and communicate departmental goals to achieve established core metrics and possess the ability to present metrics and administer the expectations of production to every team member
  • Investigate root cause of non-conformances, and support remediation and communication to stakeholders
  • Lead by example by consistently adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Ensure integrity of data and execute required tasks in corporate data systems
  • Foster an inclusive and positive work environment focused on enhancing employee engagement and retention
  • Maintain flexibility in scheduling
    • Management responsibilities
      • Team Leadership: demonstrate strong leadership skills to manage the Revenue Cycle processes assigned including insurance verification, EDI and revenue integrity effectively. This includes providing clear direction, setting performance expectations, and fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Also, support the professional development of team members and provide coaching and feedback to enhance their skills and performance
      • Workload Management: Possess the ability to assess workload demands and allocate resources effectively. Ensure that the team has appropriate staffing levels to handle the volume of enrollments, prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance, and adjust as needed to meet deadlines and achieve departmental goals
      • Problem-Solving and Decision Making: possess strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address challenges and make informed judgments in a healthcare reimbursement environment
      • Adaptability and Change Management: Be adaptable to changing reimbursement regulations, payer requirements, and industry trends. Ability to manage change effectively within the team, communicate changes clearly, and provide support and resources to ensure a smooth transition. Be open to feedback, embrace innovation, and be willing to implement new approaches or technologies that can improve reimbursement operations

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare Administration / related field or relevant years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in insurance verification, Revenue Cycle quality or related areas, with at least three years in people leadership experience
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare Revenue Cycle processes, including payer contracting, claim submission, EDI and medical billing compliance
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, payer policies, and coding systems
  • Advanced reporting and analysis skills, with the ability to identify trends and propose improvements

  • Medical device or regulatory environment experience
  • XIFIN experience
  • WAVE experience
  • Dynamics 365 experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
