Job description

Healix, LLC is seeking an experienced professional to join our corporate team as a full-time Billing Supervisor.Our team is seeking a candidate who can collaborate with internal and external team members in a positive and professional manner. Our services we deliver extend not only to our clients and patients but also to colleagues and vendors that we work with daily. We’re excited to bring aboard a motivated professional who enjoys working with others and supports our daily operations.


SCHEDULE:
Monday through Friday; corporate operating hours of 8:30a.m. to 5:30p.m.


Remote work arrangement.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Consistently monitors billing procedures and productivity:
    • Ensures that all billing is completed accurately and timely by the billing department.
    • Investigates that proper procedures are followed by billing staff through routine reporting.
    • Informs manager of any discrepancy in billing procedures.
    • Tracks unbillable charges or claims in accordance with Healix policies and procedures.
  • Researches and implements new billing guidelines and policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the implementation and setup of all new sites ensuring a smooth onboarding and prompt & clean billing.
  • Effectively supervises the electronic data interchange transmission and acceptance reports to ensure that all claims are received by insurance carriers and proper actions are taken to resolve rejected claim reports.
  • Responsible for weekly and monthly billing compliance audits
  • Reviews procedures and work productivity for the billing department per guidelines.
  • Performs audits on work productivity and accuracy for the billing department using system reports and department guidelines.
  • Assists with the interviewing, hiring, and training of employees.
  • Sets standards. Measures and evaluates on-going work, taking corrective action as directed.
  • Effectively arranges for work to be completed, delegates efficiently, and encourages cooperation within the department.
  • Appraises performance, rewards/ and disciplines employees.
  • Addresses complaints and effectively resolves problems.
  • Organizes information and documentation to provide quickreferencematerial to promptly resolve on-going occurrences.
  • Performs all of the functions of a billing specialist.
    • Accurate data entry of all charges generated by site.
    • Proper review and completion of claim forms and attaches proper documentation to paper claims.
    • Proper transmission and review of electronic claims.
    • Maintains all daily logs to ensure accuracy.

  • QUALIFICATIONS

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four- year college or university; or four to six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
