Job Title: Billing Specialist

Department: Client Experience

Reports To: Client Experience Manager

Position Type: Full-time position starting at $23/hour for US Based Candidates.

Job Overview:

We are actively seeking a proficient and detail-oriented Billing Specialist to become the next valuable addition to our team. This role isn’t about mere oversight; it's about diving deep. As our next Retention Billing Specialist, and reporting to our Client Experience Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing and sustaining our billing system, with a primary focus on bringing paid-in-full accounts to a zero balance within specified time constraints.


Key Responsibilities:

This pivotal role combines financial acumen, sales, and client services, with exceptional communication skills to enhance our billing operations and customer relationships. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the financial health of our company while fostering positive interactions with our clients.

  • Debt Recovery: Dive into historical accounts as far back as 2018, identifying those that are partially paid or not meeting the minimum engagement criteria.

  • Your expertise will be crucial in addressing and rectifying these discrepancies to improve our financial standing.

  • Payment Resolution and Customer Engagement: Proactively engage with customers to negotiate and establish feasible payment plans for failed payments.

  • Your constructive approach and commitment to resolving overdue balances will play a crucial role in maintaining positive customer relations and supporting our financial objectives.

  • Account Management: Take charge of accounts from 14 to 30 days post-event, ensuring full payment and seamless collaboration with the sales team for accounts within the initial 30-day period.

  • Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive management will drive the success of our account resolution efforts.

  • Exceptional Communication: With your strong verbal and written communication skills, you will effectively convey the benefits of our products or services, negotiate deals, and build enduring relationships with clients.

  • Your ability to articulate complex information in an accessible manner will be key to our collective success.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with our internal team to streamline the billing process and swiftly address any issues that arise.

  • Your team-oriented approach will ensure a smooth and efficient operation, contributing to the overall success of our business.

  • Reporting & Analysis: Regular reporting to the executive team on account statuses and providing insightful analysis for improvements will be part of your role.

  • Your analytical skills will help shape strategies to enhance our billing operations and financial health.

  • Management of Defaults and Failed Payments: Assume full responsibility for managing defaults and failed payments, including those from subscriptions through Stripe and in-house auto-bills.

  • Your diligence in identifying failed transactions, ensuring timely follow-ups, and maintaining accurate payment records will be invaluable.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-3+ years experience in a Sales or Client Services position.

  • Ability to achieve daily team retention and saves goals, as well as customer centric KPIs through client retention outcomes

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Proven experience in a role that involved billing, finance, or a related field.

  • Outstanding client facing communication skills, as well as team interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust

  • Familiarity with Salesforce software and Excel, strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
