JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Billing Clerk

Status: Full-time

Pay Range : $17-$19

As a Billing Clerk you will be able to use your skills to help grow our business. We are looking for someone who is focused and thrives in a fast paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- include and are not limited to:

• Maintain accurate billing records/bookkeeping, process customer billings for assigned area (commercial/residential liquid and HVAC billing).
• Provide timely and accurate customer service to internal customers; research and respond to questions/issues related to customer billings as appropriate and when applicable communicate issues to management, account executives and external customers.
• Process assigned billings according to contracts and price agreement to ensure compliance.
• Prepare related reports to include, but not limited to customer billings.
• Remain in a stationary position 90% of the time.
• Must adhere to company policies and procedures 100% of the time.
• Must be able to work overtime when required

RESPONSIBILITIES- include and are not limited to:

• Ensure billing daily/weekly/monthly billing is completed timely
• Ensure proper billing of all transactions 100% of the time.
• Ensure residential/commercial transactions are processed in a timely fashion.
• Conduct periodic billing audits to maintain accuracy in work.
• Reports to work with minimal absenteeism or tardiness.
• Attend job related training and informational seminars as requested.
• Performs all other job-related activities and special projects as assigned such as but not limited to
  • Annual Customer Price Agreement collation and processing
  • Payment processing and payment application
  • Process outgoing mail, use of general office machinery such as postage and folding machines, pick up and or deliver mail to the USPS.
  • Provide routine support to the fuel card program, new account creation and customer inquiries
  • Provide routine coverage for corporate receptionist/reception area, greet guests, process/receive shipments, answer multi-line phone system
  • Provide routine support for the Mirabito gift card and rewards program

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- include and are not limited to:

• Able to complete work with attention to detail and high degree of accuracy
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in Microsoft Office
• High school diploma
• Two years of experience preferred.
• Possess valid NYS driver license
• Must be able to lift, pull and carry up to 50 pounds.
