Strategy, Planning, and Operations leads and manages a large and complex portfolio of IT projects and programs while establishing partnerships and stakeholder engagement efforts with students, faculty, staff, and external partners on behalf of the IT organization. The Strategy, Planning, and Operations Office also manages organizational initiatives and efforts, including general administrative functions, financial management and budgeting, vendor management and licensing, billing, internal communications, department human resources, talent management, and culture development.
The IT Financial Management team oversees expenditures required to deliver IT products and services across the university. The team administers a collaborative, cross-functional approach to operational spending and the reduction of IT and business process costs. The team leverages traditional enterprise financial and accounting best practices, and serves as a centralized billing function for all IT services.
The Billing Analyst will be responsible for tracking and managing the university's IT transactions that both generate revenue and recognize expense. This team member will ensure that UCLA's IT organization collects revenue for activities performed at the unit-level, maintains financial solvency by paying vendor invoices, and preserves accuracy of IT accounts payable and receivable. The Billing Analyst will be knowledgeable about all billing regulations and exercise attention to detail to support the overall efficacy of the IT Financial Management team.
The Billing Analyst will positively impact UCLA's operations and culture by ensuring IT financial resources are managed appropriately and IT initiatives are appropriately resourced in service of the institution's academic mission.
