Role Summary
Internship Term:
Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be a graduate/MBA student at an accredited college or university during the internship term with an expected graduation date between December 2024 and June 2026.

In this role, you will be part of Rivian's Finance Team managing Bill of Material costs, and be responsible for highly cross-functional projects in partnership with Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and others.

Pay Disclosure
Salary Range/Hourly Rate for Internships: The range of pay for internships is 25.00-51.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on location, and other factors permitted by law.
Rivian provides robust wellness benefits, and a medical insurance package for interns, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Rivian covers most of the premiums.

Responsibilities
- Support the accuracy and scalability of our Bill of Material forecast
- Drive cost reduction ideas, challenging business case assumptions, and analyzing variance between forecast and actuals
- This role will be a key member of the team forecasting multi-year material spend for our R1 and EDV vehicle platforms, including planned cost reductions and engineering change points
Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an MBA program at an accredited college or university
- Understanding of basic financial concepts (DCF, NPV, IRR, etc.) and basic accounting principles
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Excel
- Self-driven individual who is willing to proactively attack problems and ask questions to find the solution
- Knowledge of business units and their key functions (i.e. Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, etc.)
- Experience analyzing and manipulating large datasets
- Financial modelling experience (building business cases)
- Manufacturing or automotive experience preferred
- Query and data visualization experience preferred (such as SQL or Tableau)
