Benefits Coordinator

IBEW Local 1049 Benefit Funds is seeking a bilingual English/Spanish speaking full time Benefits Coordinator for its Holtsville, Long Island, NY office.

Job Description

The Benefits Coordinator assists union members daily with benefit needs including but not limited to: annuity/401k contributions and distribution; medical plan eligibility, enrollment and COBRA; and claim/plan information communication. This position requires a high degree of customer service and ensures best practices are carried out to achieve effectiveness and efficiency. This position requires high levels of confidentiality and follows HIPAA regulations.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Must be able to communicate fluently in English and Spanish

Must have knowledge of MS Word and Excel

Must have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills

Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task

Ability to follow instructions and respond to management’s directions accurately and efficiently

Able to maintain concentration and accuracy despite busy environment

Must be able to prioritize work activities to meet deadlines

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $27.19 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
