Role and Responsibilities: ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.

POSITION IS ENTRY LEVEL EXPERIENCE WITH BENEFITS EXPERIENCE - NOT HR EXPERIENCE

THIS POSITION IS A HYBRID ROLE AND REQUIRED TO BE IN THE OFFICE WEEKLY AS WELL AS REMOTE.

  • Must be very detail oriented.
  • Must be able to create/adapt to processes to make them efficient and easy for someone else to pick up in the event of being out.
  • Must maintain a high level of integrity and comply with all HIPPA related issues.
  • Must sign a confidentiality agreement upon hire for this position.
  • Perform customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Works closely with the HR Team and provide support as needed.
  • Build and maintain a professional relationship with FCM Insurance Brokers.
  • Must have knowledge of 401k plans and work directly with parent company administering FCM plan.
  • Must have experience and working knowledge of Health Savings Account plans.
  • Manage multiple systems by keeping them updated with employee data.
  • Assists with daily administration of benefits plans including processing of documentation in a timely manner, maintenance of benefits and leave documentation in an accessible and confidential location, responds to employees', peers' and manager's inquiries regarding benefits programs, coordinates family status event changes with HRIS/Payroll.
  • Provides access and educates employees on how to use benefits in Paychex.
  • Assists employees when creating life event changes.
  • Assists employees with benefit claim issues and determine resolution.
  • Manage Leave administration (LOA, FMLA, Military Leave) including employee notification and disability vendor notification.
  • Educate and Advise employees of leave of absences and COBRA benefits.
  • Handles the back end of the termination/separation process for benefits.
  • Must work closely with the Payroll Team.
  • Communicate with employees when dependents reach age 26 advising of a Cobra qualifying event.
  • Ensures benefits and third-party benefits enrollment vendor's records are in sync.
  • Prepares reports from HRIS or benefits enrollment portal as needed.
  • Uses knowledge of applicable federal, state and municipal regulations to ensure benefits regulatory compliance.
  • Manages annual open enrollment with insurance brokers.
  • Maintains benefit program administrative manuals, records and HRIS benefits database, and any other documents necessary for implementing benefit programs in compliance with ERISA laws and Plan documents.
  • Coordinates all information with benefit providers, benefit administrators and brokers.
  • Administration of all benefit programs which includes entry or transfer of benefits data to/from provider systems.
  • Communicates with Employees on an ongoing basis regarding benefits, timelines, changes, important dates etc.
  • Keeps abreast of new and emerging compensation and benefit trends.
  • Works closely with HR Manager, SVP of HR, Brokers and payroll team.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
