Job description

The Red Hat Total Rewards team is looking for a U.S. Benefits Analyst to join the Global People Experience team. In this role, you will support strategy development, solutions implementation, vendor management, and program management activities for the U.S. benefits with a focus on post-tax benefit administration and compliance.


You'll need to have effective communications, strategy, and project management experience along with knowledge of benefits program administration and delivery operations.


As a U.S. Benefits Analyst, you’ll also need to have experience working on escalated benefits issues, working with vendor and administration platforms, and guiding employee communications. Successful applicants are preferred in Raleigh, NC, but must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.


What you will do

  • Full program management and process oversight of post tax benefit programs (hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness, pet insurance, student loan refinancing) as well as the Long Term Care, Adoption & Surrogacy, and Wellness Incentive benefit programs; to include review and management of associate escalations for managed programs
  • Manage monthly invoicing processing for all U.S. Benefits and annual PO request process
  • Partner with the Global Benefits team to support the administration of the Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for U.S. associates
  • Coordinate benefit discount information for U.S. associates 
  • Collaborate with members of the extended team, including the Payroll, Benefits Operations, and People (HR) Relations teams, for effective delivery of benefits with a focus on associate experience
  • Complete compliance requirements for benefit programs to include Nevada Modified Business Return, San Francisco Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO), and Affordable Care Act (ACA)
  • Oversee the HIPAA training certification process for internal Red Hat associates
  • Administer wellness activities (flu shots & biometric screenings) for Red Hat Tower
  • Engage with team members to plan and deliver annual U.S. open enrollment
  • Produce and maintain documentation related to administrative benefit processes and policies; cross train with fellow team members to support back up work processes 
  • Support RFP processes and implementations as necessary
  • Provide ongoing reporting and complete industry surveys to support Red Hat’s total rewards philosophy and talent strategy, using direct market analysis and benchmarking to identify trends
  • Work with internal communications to develop effective and culturally aligned benefit communications across benefit programs


What you will bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in the development and administration of benefits programs
  • Experience with benefits administration and invoice processing required
  • History of working through ambiguity to solve problems and leading them to successful resolution
  • History of delivering results and operating in a fast-paced environment with the ability to build close relationships, inspire decisions, and gain trust as an adviser. Successful experience working with shared services or outsourced environments are a plus.
  • Applicable compliance and operations knowledge across benefit programs, including an understanding of how teams collaborate to effectively administer programs
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner
  • Experience working in an environment with solid collaboration within and across departments 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, experience with Google Suite is a plus
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems, experience with Workday is a plus

 

The salary range for this position is $74,900 - $119,830. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.


Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
