Benefits Analyst, Compliance 

This Is What You’ll Do:

  • Respond to complex cases in the benefits portal.
  • Reply to complex teammate and management questions related to health and welfare benefits, explaining summary plan document language as needed.
  • Develop, implement and/or update team processes as needed to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with appropriate vendor partners as needed to ensure annual compliance milestones are completed in a timely and compliant manner.
  • Maintain and update summary plan documents as needed to reflect accurate plan design and ensure ERISA compliance.
  • Stay up to date on health and welfare benefit regulations.
  • Stay up to date on benefit trends, making recommendations on plan design as it relates to OPI overall culture and strategy.
  • Participate in benchmarking and strategy discussions around Octapharma health and welfare plans.
  • Maintain and update benefits presentations as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to annual enrollment timeline by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with vendor management by ensuring logs are up to date and tracking SLA reporting.
  • Present benefits for new employee orientation and/or location specific meetings.
  • Manage benefit vendor invoicing by confirming accuracy as compared to contracted fees and tracking invoices for annual budgeting needs.
  • Maintain benefits tables within HRIS.
  • Practice ethical treatment around sensitive, HIPAA protected data.

This Is What It Takes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience specializing in benefits required.
  • Proven knowledge in benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, PCORI, Medicare D filing, 5500s, HIPAA, CAA) required.
  • Confirmed experience with SBCs and SPDs required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Attention to detail and advanced analytical skills required.
  • Strong customer service focus required.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills required.
  • Experience with HRIS and/or benefit platforms required.
