CrossAmerica Partners is a leading U.S. wholesale distributor of motor fuels, operator of convenience stores, and owner/lessee of real estate used in the retail distribution of motor fuels. With a geographic footprint of 34 states, CrossAmerica Partners distributes branded/ unbranded petroleum for motor vehicles to approximately 1,800 locations and owns or leases over 1,100 sites.
The Benefits Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short- and long-term disability, and 401(k) plan. This role will report directly to the Benefits Manager.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the Human Resources systems to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.

- Performs audit checks of benefits-related data in multiple systems.
- Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes and connect with new hire on benefit offerings.
- Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
- Enrolls employees with carriers and process life status changes.
- Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
- Coordinate with the leave of absence and payroll team on all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.
- Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
- Assists with the open enrollment process and coordination.
- Provides necessary reports for financial state of the benefit plan.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and proficient with time management skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite specifically excel.
- Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to problem solve
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field of study, preferred.
