Do you want to provide care to those living with HIV as they address the impact of addiction and give them a space where mistakes are permitted? Do you love group work?
In addition to other responsibilities, this position will have the opportunity to:
- Engage clients and support them in identifying their strengths and challenges
- Work alongside the client to build a plan of action and goals addressing addiction and health
- Develop creative interventions to support plans of action goals.
- Recognize the hierarchy of needs and link clients with services to support overall care
- Facilitate engaging, interactive groups addressing all life areas including physical, emotional, mental, spiritual
- Work with an integrated care team to see all perspectives to meet the client's needs
- Productively challenge, provide support and guide clients in an individual sessions to meet identified goals.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/ Requirements
- Case Management and Therapy experience preferred.
- Minimum of two years' experience which may include internships, preferred
- Substance abuse treatment or residential setting experience preferred.
- HIV/AIDS knowledge preferred
- Proficient computer skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Knowledge of Stages of Change, Trauma Informed Care and Harm Reduction
- Must have a master's degree in Social Work, Health or Human Services from an accredited university
- HIV 500
- Valid Florida Driver's license and ongoing proof of insurance required and ability to provide own transportation.
