Job Summary:
The Behavioral Health Technician position aims to develop a strong patient-focused perspective to support patients in their goal of living a substance-free life. In the early stages, there is a need for considerable support and guidance. The Behavioral Health Technician must work closely with the other Behavioral Health Technician staff to develop the skills necessary to successfully perform the assigned duties and responsibilities. In addition to the duties identified below, this position performs general office/house support functions and assists personnel as necessary. Duties may change to meet the clients’ needs.

Duties:
- Aid clients requiring assistance dealing with substance abuse problems.
- Monitor clients’ medication and maintain logs documenting processes.
- Adhere to medication policies and procedures.
- Maintain reports and case histories under supervision of House Managers.
- Assist in the delivery of assigned groups and participate in structured activities. If needed.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, copying, answering phones, etc. If needed.
- Assist in the maintenance of shift communication logs.
- Assist with and participate in all regularly scheduled social recovery activities and services occurring during an assigned shift. (i.e. setting up and cleaning up)
- Attend and participate in mandated staff meetings and scheduled team meeting and trainings as required.
- Assist with the coordination of maintaining the program food and supply needs as needed.
- Assist in food preparation when needed.
- Provide support in a professional, courteous, confidential, and timely manner to other employees or any other individual requiring assistance related to the essential functions of this position.
- Maintain the confidentiality of residents, employees, and the organization.
- Maintain professional relationships and observe the appropriate boundaries and limits with clients.
- Residential only: mild housekeeping is required. (i.e. taking trash out)
- Manage house supplies and report to House Manager when restock is needed.
- Maintain appropriate attendance record.
- Run light errands.
- Assist with Driving clients to and from locations.
- Have good communication skills.
- Check in with House Managers and inform them of any suspicious client activity.
- Other duties as assigned.
*FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES WILL RECEIVE AT LEAST 20 HOURS OF TRAINING DURING THEIR FIRST WEEK OF EMPLOYMENT
*PART-TIME EMPLOYEES WILL RECEIVE AT LEAST 20 HOURS OF ORIENTATION AND TRAINING DURING THEIR FIRST MONTH OF EMPLOYMENT
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
