Behavior Technician

The ABA Behavior Technician will work (part-time) in our In-Home team. Workin with client in their natural environment (family home). The BT will report into Case Supervisor (20% direct supervision), directly overseen by family caretaker / family member.

The average session is 2.5 / 3 hours in length. The likely starting schedule for the part time Behavior Technician / ABA Behavior Technician is 3-6pm or 4-7pm (or similiar) weekdays.

We have immediate openings available for a Behavior Technician Monday-Friday from 2:00pm-7:00pm and Saturday-Sunday from 9:00am-1:00pm for 8-18 hours per week

Job Description:

• Work 1:1 with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities
• Implement skill acquisition programs to teach social, communication, safety, and daily living skills
• Implement behavior reduction programs
• Utilize crisis management and de-escalation techniques to ensure the safety of kiddos and others
• Data collection and graphing
• Good ethics, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
• Work collaboratively with other specialists (Speech Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, etc.)
• Conduct parent education

Job Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a vehicle and be a named person on the current insurance policy of the vehicle they drive
• Applicants must be passionate about Psychology, Sociology, Education, Human Services, Social Work or related field
• Experience working with children and their families
• Individuals with prior experience working with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder or other developmental and/or behavioral disabilities will be given preference.
